Memory Café

Staying socially and mentally active is good for the brain!

At St. John’s Community Care, we understand the challenges that come with caring for a loved one with memory loss, and we are committed to providing resources and support to help caregivers and their loved ones. Our Memory Café is a valuable resource for those who may feel isolated or overwhelmed by their caregiving journey.

Memory Cafes provide a safe and enjoyable place for caregivers and their loved ones with early memory loss.  St. John’s Community Care caregiver specialists lead the group in reminiscing on a new topic each week to provide the cognitive stimulation those with memory loss need.

You will find Memory Cafes in Collinsville and Edwardsville.

Collinsville: Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at our Collinsville Center, 222 Goethe Avenue. Can’t make it in person? Join us on Zoom.

Edwardsville: Tuesdays from 1:15 -2:15 at Main Street Community Center. In-person only.

The Memory Café is funded by AgeSmart Community Resources, with grants from the Administration for Community Living and Illinois Department on Aging. As a local Area Agency on Aging, AgeSmart promotes healthy aging by providing resources and information to help individuals age well on their own terms.
