Are you feeling stressed due to caring for a loved one living with dementia or Alzheimer’s. You are not alone. The caregiver’s well-being is important because studies have shown that caregivers who take care of themselves are known to take better care of their loved ones.
Stress can be a major issue for family caregivers who are caring for loved ones with dementia. Here at St. John’s Community Care, we understand the challenges that caregiver face and are committed to providing support and education to help them. That’s why we offer the Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers.
The Stress-Busting Program is a series of educational sessions designed to help the family caregiver better understand the stress they are experiencing in this role. Caregivers attending will learn about 1) stress and how it affects them, 2) review a variety of stress management techniques, and 3) develop problem-solving skills. This is an evidence-based program, and many have found it to be helpful to their well-being and being a less stressed family caregiver.

At St. John’s Community Care, we believe that caregivers deserve all the support they can get. That’s why we offer these sessions to help them cope better with the stress and challenges of caregiving. If you’re a caregiver looking for support and education, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
