Mission
The mission of St. John’s Community Care is to make a difference
in the lives of people challenged by aging or disabilities. We
accomplish this by providing dependable and compassionate
support through direct care, advocacy, education, and outreach to
individuals living in the Metro-East community. We live the
vision of Christ and His love for all people through our actions
and words.
We believe that when an organization is faith-based and mission-oriented, you do things a little differently. Our everyday caregiving and organizational decisions are based on what is best for our clients and families, not our bottom line. Granted, we are good stewards of our resources but we stretch as far as we can to help the people in our communities. St. John’s Community Care complies with applicable federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate, exclude people or treat them differently, on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability or sex.
We work closely with these affiliations to ensure we are providing the best services possible:
- Adult Day Program supported by Madison County Mental Health Board since its opening in 2001.
- Alzheimer’s Association sponsored Support Group and Resource Center since 1991.
- Adult Day Services are certified by IL Dept. on Aging.
- Approved care provider for the Illinois Community Care Program (CCP), Illinois Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), and Veteran’s Administration.
