Collinsville and Edwardsville – St. John’s Community Care is proud to host Heartland Mini-Hoofs for our participants in our Adult Day Programs. Heartland Mini Hoofs is a mini equine therapy visitation program that is dedicated to bringing mini horses to visit and interact with those of all ages and abilities. Participants of St. John’s Adult Day Program include individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as those struggling with the effects of stroke and Parkinson’s disease. The mini equine therapy is sure to bring smiles, laughter and love to the participants. This therapy is an outlet to stimulate conversations about shared memories of pets and equine experiences and will enhance the mood and communication skills for all those who participate.

St. John’s Community Care would like to invite anyone who would like to see the Heartland Mini-Hoofs to visit their location in Collinsville on Wednesday, September 28 at 10 am or Tuesday, Oct. 4 at St. John’s Community Care in University Pointe Center in Edwardsville. Everyone is welcome. Please call 344-5008 or 656-7090 to let us know to expect you!
